I was wondering if someone could give me any tips on what kind of flowers look cute around the house when there's zero landscape thus far? Thanks

I am no expert but I think this might help:

The type of flowers that you can plant depends on the type of climate and soil in your area. You should go to a store with a gardening center in your town and see the types of flowers that are sold there. Normally, you can see which ones can grow in your area from doing this. If you need more information, you might be able to get some answers from the people that work there. Besides that, you can go to the library and get books on gardening. I've done it and it's very helpful.

Anyway, I am from the Pacific Northwest and we plant alot of different types of flowers in the summer. We can grow snapdragons, geranium, petunias and a bunch of other flowers. Around January, we can plant flowers like daffodils and tulips from bulbs. They won't bloom until spring though.

Anyway, I hope this will help.

When you said zero landscaping, do you mean no shrubs in the front of the house?

We have arbor vitae on the corners of the front. Box woods are good for low height shrubs with little maintenance.
For flowers we use maridgolds, and impatients.

Go to Google and type in "Your State Landscaping." (w/o quotes, sub in your state) There should be many sites that pop up that are dedicated to gardening in your state.

It all depends on where you live. I just planted hibiscus, mexican heather, new guinea impatiens and bromeliads. Also flowers that attract butterflies.

You also need to figure out if it is sunny or shady in the spots you are going to plant
