The ball gag is good for silence and visual effect but the dental gag would improve the possibility of oral sex allowing for a better sex life and marriage.

If you're thinking in terms of shutting someone up, no.
If you look at it in terms of trying something new and exciting, quite possibly yes. If it included additional bondage then a considerable amount of trust is also necessary and could definitely strengthen the relationship.
