" Not long life, wealth or happiness, just power, pure power "

Power is a very important thing to both have and exist. What most people don't realize is that all power is not evil, there is also good power.
With out power there would be nothing, nobody would ever accomplish anything.
It really depends on the character of the person who has power and what they intend to do with it.

It is a necessary part of life. Someone has to take responsability and how they handle power is where the issues often lie. I enjoy using power to benefit others, it is very gratifying. We all possess power for good or bad, and we all make a choice on what to do with it.

In the end what you thought of it, has no bearing, because thought carries no weight. What you did with and within and throughout that which surrounds grants you more then simply the power to think. It is what you do and from where I sit, no power could defend what most of us inflict upon that which...powers you and me and anyone who may read this...as you read this...

I think that power is strong.
Okay, okay, I'll tell you. Power... It's a drug. Yes, it is. People kill to have it and get killed when they have (or try to have) too much of it. There was this guy, Julius Caesar, who was assassinated 44 years before Christ was born, because he wanted to have it all. Indirectly killed by an overdose that he himself wanted to take. But let's talk about the guy who was born 44 years after J.C was assassinated. His name is Jesus Christ and he was killed by the same people who gave him the overdose. He never wanted to have it, but the people around him called the the King and, because of that, he had to be taken out of the picture. In his case, he became a lot stronger after he died on a cross. I could give you more examples, but I have other question to answer, now, that I have the POWER to answer an unlimited number of questions. You see, this is what I was talking about...

It makes a big difference in the workplace, especially if a supervisor abuses it and uses coercive power and authority power.

Richard Nixon, his clones, past and present, and other psychopaths love what they consider "power: That is the ability to control, dominate, torment, and murder others at will, and suffer no consequences. That approach is for the terminally dysfunctional, an extremely prevalent breed among the benighted human species, especially when it comes to "leadership" positions in government, industry, religion and business.

That's the reason the species and the planet is in it's present condition.

Real power is the ability to connect to "Higher Energies" in order to enlighten yourself and thus be of benefit to others, and the community at large. Can you think of one world leader who even remotely aligns with that definition? Much less any of the trolls currently in charge of the other aspects of culture/civilization? :)))

Power corrupts. There is a desire in mankind for power. It is a nasty lust, a selfish thing to desire.

It only leads people to the dark side of the force!!! JK

the most relevant thought i can put forward about power is "handle with care".
everyone must have some of it but it can be misused so easily, and it is not without a price.
