Well, I cant think of the best overall player because there isn't. For example, how are you supposed to know which one's better between Manning QB and Rice WR? It's a good question but I dont think one can say one person is the best unless you are talking about at position. At RB, Deon Sanders, QB Peyton Manning and WR Jerry Rice. Those who are what I think at those positions.

I have to say Barry Sanders. He did things that no other player has ever been able to do. He did this on bad teams and is 4th all-time in rushing even with a very shortened career. There has never been a player to do what he was capable of.

All depends on the position. Peyton's probably the best (don't rule out Tom Brady... if his team stops jumping ship). And for all of his bluster, bravado, stupidity, and just being an overall pain in the butthole, they don't get too much better than T.O.
