Everyone wants to leave out AI but this guy won a ton of scoring titles at 6ft and went to the finals with Mutombo, Eric Snow, and Aron Mckie as the other stars. Come one man give credit where credit is do. If this guy was a few inches taller he'd have multiple rings!

This is all when healthy... These are also the MOST TALENTED, not the most important to their team.
1. Kobe Bryant. Steve Nash may be the most valuable to his team, but as far as talent goes, Kobe is the top player in the league.
2. LeBron James. See Kobe Bryant above. Many argue that D-Wade is better than LeBron because he has the ring, but the problem is Wade cannot shoot or exhilarate the crowd the way that LeBron does.
3. Gilbert Arenas. He needs to screw his head on straight, but the guy can shoot the basketball, pass the rock, play some solid D, and get to the rim.
4. Dwyane Wade. He cannot shoot that well, but he hardly needs to. If Miami wanted to, he could score 3-point plays off of isolations virtually every time off of drives and getting fouled.
5. Amare Stoudemire. He is under-rated, indeed... The guy can jump probably 15 feet. He blocks shots like mad. He is improving his shooting and ball-handling. And did I mention he has MAD UPS?
Some others considered:
Allen Iverson. If he had a better jump shoot or had a little more size, he'd make the list for sure.
Steve Nash. He's smart, and very valuable to the Suns, but I'm just not convinced he's as athletic as these other guys are.
Shawn Marion. He can do absolutely everything on the court... But if he were the best in the league at one thing, he'd make the list. But he settles a little for teamwork, which is probably good, but he could be #1 if he tried to be.
Gerald Wallace. No one talks about him, but man the guy can get to the rim like D-Wade and shoots better too. He needs to work on his FT shooting, but he's getting there. If he played for a big name team like San Antonio he would probably be higher on the list.
Dirk Nowitzki. He needs to D up, plain and simple. Otherwise, he'd be higher in consideration.

I definitely argree with everyone on that list except for Allen Iverson. Althought he is a great play he does not make his teammates around him better. I think you have to throw in Dirk Nowitzki to that conversation to.
