There have been a few times I yanked the old trusty steed over from the right side myself, this was not intended to be an insult to the questioner either, matter of fact, it was a good quest! There were a few tho that didnrt sound like they should be lookin at bikes let alone climbing on them tho, LOL! All in fun peep!

That link gave me a good laugh. Thanks I needed that. We sure do have some "thumbs down morons" on here. 'Wet behind the ear' kids mostly, I would think.

I thought I explained myself. Not well enough I guess.
Your reasoning was well presented.
Where would we find a written definition? (Not to say I don't trust you) I'm still caught between the two, mounting, and position. I can find valid reasons for both, but don't know the real definition.

BTW, I sometimes get on mine from the right. I'm not worried about the horse kicking me.

seems like a bunch of mixed up answers but I always mount & dismount from the leftside, that's common sense since the bike is leaning to the left on the jiffy stand

the left side for sure thats why every bike at the dealer leans to the left and why bikes with centerstands have the lever on the left

The only way to learn sometimes is to ask a question (even to some of us if it sounds stupid)
Not all of us are blessed with instant knowledge or acess to that wisdom from more experienced riders..

I answered that same question then when back and deleted it. you get on and off on the left ..if you don't you'll burn your leg on the pipes and you have to swing your leg too high to get on.I don't think half the people that answer on here have ever been on a bike....and it truely shows.I don't know exactly why I deleted my answer,I guess I figued that they were too dumb to learn anything.
