I keep seeing these cheap HP Core 2 Duo computers. They seem to be top-of-the-line. But, they're everywhere and they're only $650. Is there something wrong with them?

Well, I'm using a P3 550mhz right now. So, anything with an Intel Core is new to me.

Nothing wrong with it, but it would not be considered top-of-the-line. That is the slowest Core 2 Duo availabe, although will still be pretty fast. It has 1GB of RAM, while you would need 2GB to be considered top of the line. It also has Integrated Graphics, which would by no means be considered top of the line. So, it is worth about what you are paying for it.

there is nothing wrong with them. that's just the price. now a days desktops are really cheap. they are going to continue to go down in price as well. so i would say go ahead and buy them. and just for the record the link you have is not a top of the line. it is a middle of the road computer. a top of the line would be a new mac with 8 cores and 16 gig's of ram and 4 terabites of hard drive space. Now that's top of the line. 15,000 +
