A delusion is a strong belief that is not based on reality and acting as if it is real. A common delusiuon is a feeling of grandiosity, the idea that you are a "special" person with certain powers and that you cannot be affected by what anyone else does, that you are incontrol and can control others. Another delusion is a paranoid delusion, that people can spy on you through the television or radio and that people are trying to control you or harm you. A delusion could make a person act as if they are blind, but there are usually some way to show that they are not blind.

In some ways, yes, it is blindness. When your view of something has been distorted to the point that you only see the distortion, then you are blind to the reality of it. Delusion is creating your own reality, I guess. How can you see things for what they are when you can't see through the delusion?

Delusion is more psychological and blindness is more physical.
