just have to multiply each of the length of the sides time 5:
a) 27 x 5= 137
b) 3.4 x 5 = 17
c) 5 1/2 x 5 = 26

that's very nice of you helping your cousin!

Hi Irene!

Ok, so you know what perimeter means, right? If not, think of a lacker-band. It's perimeter is the band part.
Likewise, if you were to draw a single sqaure, what you would have drawn is called its "perimeter" ok?

Now, the question states to find the perimeter of a pentagon (which has 5 sides).
Simply, all we do is the following (this applies to ALL perimeter questions similar to this one)
1. Count the number of sides (here, thats 5)
2. Find the length of one side (so, (a)27cm)
3. Multiply the number of sides by the length of one side. (here, thats 5 X 27)
This answer is the perimeter!

Hope this helps, any more needed, feel free to email me

:)

A pentagon has 5 sides. and if it is regular then all the sides are equal, so just take 5 times the length of one side...

a.) 135 cm

b.) 17 ft

c) 27 1/2 in

well a regular pentagon has equal sides all around, so all you have to do is multiply each of those values by 5, since a pentagon has five sides, and you will get the parameter.

There are five sides. Just multiply the side length by 5.

27cm * 5 = 135cm

I refuse to use imperial measurements. Stick to metric.
