My wife is latin, and her hips are a bit wide, she's a size 6, 5'8 and 135 lbs - she's built somewhat like Kelly Clarkson. She says she will not wear skinny jeans cause they were not made for her type. Are there any trendy type of jeans that are fuller in the hip and will not look totally outrageous on her? Can you tell me of any brands and tops that go with it? I am totally oblivious to fashion, if I had my druthers, my wife would be wearing miniskirts and knee high boots every day. Thanks in advance.

i am a curvy italian girl myself. And I personally hate skinny jeans. they just seemingly accentuate the fact that I have a big butt. I just bou7ght a new pair of ark rinse jeans from J. Crew called the hipslung. They are slightly boot cut on the bottom, pretty slim fitting and they are absolutely awesome. especially when worn with a nice pair of heels or 3" boots.
boot cut jeans are my absolute fave. being short and curvy, with a big butt, you need to balance everything out, and a slight boot cut does just that.

Skinny jeans are made for skinny girls without the slightest curve. I am guessing that she would look best is something more like a boot cut jean, something that has a little space in the hips and are straight for the mostpart and flare out just a tad at the calf. You want balance. If your hips are a little wide, you don't want a very small ankle on your pant cuz then it just makes your butt look 10 times bigger. Look at some curvy famous people and what they wear, like Jennifer Lopez.
Try Gaps, "curvy flare jean", paired with nice gold heels, and a fluttery and almost see through blouse, one that doesn't hide her curves, so it should come down just below the belt line.

Uhm one of my friendz used to not wear skinny jeans for the same reason. She is about 5'6 125 lbs and built pretty similarly but we just went to this store called Zara and she found the only pair of skinny jeans that has ever looked good on her. Now she loves them. So you mite want to ttry there.

I think she should try a pair that flatters her and just go with it. It's always good to have different items in your wardrobe. If she likes skinny jeans, she should definitely go for it; nothing should hold her back.

its really not about the jeans, its more about the shoes you wear
-first of all pick jeans that are strait cut instead of skinny, and make sure they arnt to skintight
-tell her that i said to wear a basic pair of ballet flats, or some sexy pumps, sloutchy boots look good to
