Hey there,

I found out just last Thursday that I have endo, although its been suspected for just over a year. I started with a right sided pain that would come and go. Unfortunately it became a constant soreness and eventually a non-stop pain. It affected my sex life and my work. I ended up having to quit my last job because of it.

It is an enigmatic 'disease' as there is no real known cause and as yet no cure. The treatments available in the UK are varied and at the moment I have been told to go back on the contraceptive pill for 3 months back to back in order to stop my cycle. It is the monthly cycle that causes the pain as the deposits of endometrium (womb lining) that are found in other parts ofyour abdomen such as lungs or bowel, bleed each month as you would normally.

It is highly possible that you have endo but it is worth going to your GP for a gynae referral to explore all the other avenues. Pelvic inflammatory disease, Polycyctic ovarian syndrome or Ovarian cysts may be a cause of your discomfort. Please don't try and diagnose yourself, leave it to the pros! Whatever it is, it can be sorted out quite easily but its always easier if you get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Good luck!

I HAVE ENDOMETRIOSIS

ENDOMETRIOSIS CAUSES:
- extremly painful/unbearable cramps
- extremly heavy blood flow
- clumps of blood that you can see
- cramps for over 3/4 days
- your period lasts for 5 days or more
- if after your period ends, you see white/yellowish/brownish discharge that is sticky
- may cause infertility (child bearing may cure that)
- pain during sex
- back pain
- you should only feel pain when you have your period
- your tampons may only last for 2 hours
- might feel a huge bulge/bump in your left pelvic
- did your mother or maybe even grandmother have endometriosis (It is passed down from generation to generation. My mom had it, so that means I was going to be stuck with it)

If you have most or all of these, then there's a good chance it's endometriosis.

But ask your doctor and he will tell you what it is. Also he can give you a prescription or maybe even birth control pills.

it involves bleeding between periods and having extremely painful and heavy periods. Some people need surgery several times to remove it and some go on a special diet or injections to ease it.

Other things may cause your pain such as pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian cyst, fibroid, ectopic pregnancy, or it could be a bowel problem either.
If it persists then see your dr without delay. If it is left it could become very serious.

The cause of pain can be quite varied. Check with your doctor for the best results and freedom from worry. You will find a lot about ednometriosis on the Internet, but before you start self-diagnosis, get a real one from your GYN. Then go looking for information about what your actually have, or better, don't have!

Go see your Doctor. The pain you are experiencing could be from a number of things, but your body is trying to tell you something.
I have lived with endometreosis and it was very painful. I eventually had to have a hysterectomy. You need to be properly diagnosed so that the Doctor can treat you accordingly. Why be in pain when they have treatment available to help you.

endometriosis is when part of the uterine lining goes astray so to speak. Instead of coming out with your period. parts of it get stuck like maybe by an ovary, or bladder or bowel and when you get your period again it tries to come out with the rest of your flow, but cannot get out cause it is trapped. this causes bleeding, adhesions pain, and infertiltiy. not every woman gets all of the symptoms and some get all of it. i had it for 15 years and my daughter has it. it is so common that docs are now saying almost every woman has a little bit.

hey i develop into clinically determined with endo @ 15 and develop into directly referred for a laproscopy (a surgical operation the place they make an incision on your navel and place a tiny digicam interior to have a squiz approximately your ovaries etc to seek for any endo - it seems gross like little cysts) and in case you do have any they are going to then make yet another incision the two fringe of your navel for their scalpels and tongs and then actually "slice" off the endo. The operation interior of reason painless in spite of the undeniable fact that u do sense somewhat gentle around the tummy for a powerful month. The operation has an eighty 5% fulfillment fee (this means that for eighty 5% of endo victims it won't in any respect develop returned). Being on the pill additionally enables to decelerate the upward push of endometriosis. talk on your GP approximately it yet i could strongly propose it - its replaced my existence :-)

yes that it can be very, very painful and generally it gets worse if not treated and periods are often heavier and sometimes irregular.
IF you suspect this then go to your GP who will get you a pelvic scan.

You might be ovulating. Is it the middle of the month, and how long has it been going on?

does your pain come and go during the month or does it stay around, not leaving.
