So i have a project on genocide and some rather sad music would be wonderful so i was wondering if anyone knows any good ones which kinda make people feel sad and mad about what happened...... also, does anyone know what the song for lord of the rings ( the one played during the battles ) is ....pretty dark song but yeah...

Also, from Lord of the Rings, you may want to look into Gollums Song (from the ending credits of The Two Towers). Sad, sad music, sad and disturbing lyrics...and creepy singing voice.

One place I would check out is a web site soundclick.com. You should be able to find all kinds of instrumentals and a lot of them are offered for free by their respective artists for non-profit use. I've never seen Lord of the rings so I can't answer that question.

I think a great sad instrumental is the End Theme from "Cast Away". It's by Alan Silvestri.

The song is Enya.

Sad instrument...maybe the lyre. Minor keys are what really make for a sad mood.

I totally agree with Sharp Marble. Schindlers List's sountrack has some heart wrenching songs on it!

Adagio by Samuel Barber. It was played at John Kennedy's funeral and used at the end of the movie Platoon.
