I am proud to be an American, but I'm not always proud of what America does.

Yes I'm proud to be American. I'm rarely proud of our leaders. I don't mean this in an unfeeling way, but the men dying are the same men that choose to join the armed forces, to learn warfare. If every man and woman in this country refused to fight on foreign soil, our leaders couldn't wage much war, could they. Even with the draft, we could refuse to carry a weapon, I'll serve my country, but I will not kill or assist in killing another human being. I'm not sure what you mean about people in the media, the country the men are dying for are more concerned with their families living through this war. I think some of them are happy that our men are there, and some are not. Are you referring to "Bollywood" ?

Although i am not in favor of this or any war, yes i am still proud to be an American. The ridiculous decisions that the fat cats in Washington make will never turn me against my country and all the good things we do for the world. The war has nothing to do with winning or loosing, or lives lost, or civilian causality's, it's all about that all mighty dollar. By the way, did you vote?

I am proud to be an American and I solute the men that are fighting for our country. I pray they come home soon and I will continue to pray for our country. I personally don't even watch the news anymore because it is all negative and you never hear the positive.

We shouldn't be in Iraq...nobody ever gave me a reason why we are there....billions of dollars and thousands of American lives for nothing...no cheap gas prices...no peace...nobody getting rich except for a couple companies ....no...fuckking...reason

Yes actually I am, thank you! If you do not like it do something instead of writing notes like this on Yahoo. We are a society that is based on the people voting their conscience, the problem is we cannot get more than 30-40% of the people out to vote! Apply your energies to making real change not just complaining on an internet site! Get out get people to vote, that is how we get our boys home!

Yes and no. Due to our Government this Country sucks. In Vietnam we said, we the willing, led by the unknowing, doing the impossible for the ungrateful. I believe that's true in Iraq.
