Does anyone know why at the end of every show Jimmy Kimmel apologizes to Matt Damon for running out of time?

I can assume why just not exactly sure

It's been a running joke for months now, Damon did get bumped but it was a long time ago.

Matt must of recently got bumped off the show dude to time restrictions or other problems...Jimmy's just making a joke about that particular nights show I think?

Jimmy just wants us to think that he had a big name movie star as a guest and he thinks it's funny. I like Jimmy.
