In survey, the distance that 25 people walk each day range from 3.5 mile to 5.5 miles. A reasonable total distance that the 25 people walk each day is-

F 50 mi.

H 75 mi.

Wow man I know you can do these. They're very simple.

1) Answer: G. Perimeter means all the side lengths combined, so naturally if you know the distance of two of the sides, whatever is left over will be the third side length, since all threee sides must add up to the perimeter. 18.5-11.75=6.75

2) Answer: J. The average distance a person walks is 4.5 miles. So multiply that average by 25, and the product is closest to 110.

1. so to begin you want to take the total perimeter which is 18.5-11 3/4 to find the last side. so to do that you have to find the common denomanator. so that turns into 18 2/4- 11 3/4 so you need to change the number to 17 6/4 - 11 3/4 which equals 6 3/4ft. which is answer G
2. Ok for this question I would multiply 25*5.5=137.5 and 25*3.5 =87.5 so if the 25 people walked the smallest of the ranges they would have walked a combined 87.5 mi and if they walked the most combined would be 137.5 so I would go with J.

1. 18 1/2-11 3/4 =

use 4 as the lcd

18 1/2=18 2/4-4/4= 17 6/4
-11 3/4=11 3/4 = 11 3/4
G. answer 6 3/4 ft

2. 25 x 3.5 to 5.5 miles/per day
25 x 3.5=87.5 25 x 5.5= 137.5
87.5+137.5=220/2=110
answer is J 110 miles

1. The length of the third side is: 18.5 - 11.75, which equals 6.75. So, it would be G.

2. It's difficult to tell from the poor phrasing of the question, but I think they're asking for:

([3.5 + 5.5]/2)25 = 112.5

So the answer would be J, I guess, but again the question needs to be more precise. What do they mean by "total distance"? Do they mean the distance each, of the 25, individuals walked combined? If so, a reasonable answer would be J.

1) 18 1/2' - 11 3/4' = 6 3/4
18 1/2 = 18.5
11 3/4 = 11.75
therefore = 18.5-11.75 = 6.75
6.75 = 6 3/4

2)3.5miles x 25 = 87.5
5.5 miles x 25 = 137.5

from the answers given J 110miles is the best
