I've gotten my nails done a few times and I've always thought it was because I smoked that my nails turned a yellow color. Now I figured out that it happens when I go into a tanning bed...
Has anyone had this happen? If so, do you know how to prevent it from happening, other than not going tanning...?

hmmm...i have acrylics, & i tan daily...i never noticed my nails turning yellow...*looks at them now*...no, it`s never happened to mine!!!

Is it the tanning lotion you are putting on? I have never had that happen to my nails and I go all the time. Maybe put a clear coat on before going in would help.

I tan and have acrylic nails..It is because of tanning its not the lotion you put on.Smoking also causes the yellow.My salon has somthing called no yellow and that helps they are not yellow.See if your place has that.Other than that I dont know a cure let me know if you get one!!!

when you get your nails done ask the person how does them if they have something they could put on they so they don't get like that i had my nails done in that summer and they got sticky from bug spry and tanning lotions then i asked the girl who did them if there was a way she could prevent that from happening and she put some nail polish on that stooped it from doing it

There is a solution that your salon can apply after doing your nails...Ask them about it. Now whether this works or not I don't know..But my daughter, just tonight had her nails done and the tech. asked her if she tanned..and he applied something to her nails....

not something undesirable will ensue on your palms or something yet, your nails will turn yellow!!!! purchase the rubber suggestions and positioned on them in case you dont choose to waste your money on nails that are turning yellow. the main ingredient is the white suggestions so which you will pass with coloration and be high-quality.
