I honestly hadn't even heard of him until this happened. And I hate that they keep bringing it up on Sportscenter and stuff. Can we please let it go now? You're making him way more famous then ever. I really didn't care that he said it. It's his opinion, and he's entitled to it. I may not agree with it, but to each his own. I think he looks like one of those bad celebrity mugshots they all seem to get when they're pulled over at 3:00 in the morning.

Cheers!

It doesn't matter if you're offended or not. We all have the right to free speech. Don Imus should have been able to issue an apology and go back to work.

I'm African American and I can't stand people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson just looking for someone to slip up so that they can start some sh*t.

You know there are a lot of ways to look at this. To me, I think if the guy had malicious intent when he made the remarks, then his firing would be just. To me though, he did not have malicious intent. He was just a guy trying to crack a joke that came off badly and got caught up in the "lets fix what we did to black people" sweepstakes. Look, I am not racist, but quite frankly I am sick of hearing black people cry every time someone ruffles their feathers. Here is a question? If the N word is so terrible and white people cannot utter it under any circumstance, then why do blacks (not all of them) choose the one word that represented the persecution of blacks to call themselves. Here is a new word..."reverse racism" Think......

it really is a tougher question than you comprehend . . . . As a black lady, sure you need to experience indignant by using the remark, yet in spite of the indisputable fact that as you're not to any extent further a member of the particular team of black women human beings Imus directed his remark at you need to no longer experience in my opinion indignant. As a member of the human race we would want to always ALL be indignant each and each and every time absolutely everyone utters stupid, hateful comments. we would want to always also experience pity for the phobia and shortage of information that evokes those comments.

It doesnt offend me at all, i think if blacks were the only group he made fun of, that would be different. But as for him just being a guy who makes jokes all the time, i could care less. I think its boring as hell to watch all these peole complaining about somethign that comedians, musicians, and radio personalities say EVERY DAY! Honestly they shoudl just ignore it and stop *****ing

i am offended. But ihave been on the receiving end of ppls ignorant thinking and perhaps am more sensitive to comments like he made. I think if the networks would have just fired him right off the bat instead of waiting for everyone to get in a bigger uproar then this wouldnt have become so big. you know just sitting here thinking about what an idiot he is just p.o.'s me all over again! he has no right to spread that kind of ignorant thinking.....he got waht he deserved...not that it wont have another radio gig lined up in no time....

I'm not offended but I don't think we need people like him in the media. The media gets an aweful lot of attention and all members of it should be doing everything possible to further compassion and equality.
