Why do they use this terminology? Would it be because they know most people look at this, never click on and read the story, then go and tell people the bushes didnt pay taxes? The first sentence in the story is President Bush and the first lady paid $186,378 in federal taxes . Last time I checked there is a big difference between "Owe" and "Paid" Is this BS?

No, they actually do it to encourage people to read the article. They want you to read the article, and see the blinky advertisement next to it. Headlines are meant to be eye-catching. Articles are meant to be informative. Don't blame Yahoo, blame William Randall Hearst.

It is common for the pres and VP to make their tax situation known.

I'd like to see a summary of the Clinton's tax return. Or, Al Sharpton, Al Gore, or Nancy Pelosi.

when I read the headline for this question I didn't think that at all. i thought wow if he owes that he must made allot of money last year, so stop crying bush lover

Beardog nailed it - it's sensationalism intended to provoke your reaction and attract you to the article while they shoot their silly ads laterally at you. And yes, Hearst and similar scum are guilty of establishing and promoting such cheap journalism.
