qusten#2 what is he doing he is makeing a nest with the rocks at the bottem of the tank and he would sit there all day and onley go to the top for food

Female bettas have short fins like the one in this photo

Color isn't important, both male and female come in a wide variety of colors, its all in the fins.
The male would not be making a nest on the bttom of the tank. They build a nest of bubbles floating on the top of the water. If yours is hanging out on the bottom a lot he may be a little cold. Make sure his water temperature is about 76 - 82F

female Betta fish don't always have shorter fins then males. Males almost always have 2 little fins right under it's head. it's called a beard. 1 out of every 10 female betas have this beard also. But it is very rare to have a female like this. Mine has a beard though.
Your is most likely a female because you said she is making a nest on the bottom of the tank. Sometimes females do this when they aren't pregnant.She might have FAHD which is a common disease for fish. This means she dose every thing back words. So if she was getting ready to mate with another fish, she would build a nest on the bottom, en stead of the top. And she would make it out of rocks , not bubbles.

The femle bettas have shorter fins than those of themale which are much longer and flowy, as well as being much more colorful while the females are duller in color all around. About the nest, I don't think it's a nest at all, at least not normally because male bettas make nests out of bubbles at the top of the tank at the surface, so I don't know what your betta is doing. He may just be moving rocks around for some reason but other than that, it's unusual. Hope this helps.

Male betta fish have really long fins. Female bettas have short fins.
Many bettas are constantly rearranging their rocks at their tank. It's normal.

the females look more like mollies they do not have the fancy fins
i dont know about the nest as bettas are usually towards the top of tanks - or middle -
