Standing there looking at my father's dead body after he killed himself, wondering what was going to happen, since my mother and brothers were also dead, meaning that I was sudenly an orphan with absolutely nowhere else in the world to go. I felt helpless, terrified, and in shock.
The good news is that I was taken in by a former teacher of mine, who later legally adopted me.

Was in two really horrendeous car accidents, the loss i suffered i am still suffering from to this day,,,,but neither of those stood a candle to the time last spring when i went to meet this 'girl' from the internet that i had met online a few months earlier..when that door swung open and what my brown eyes were then exposed to and the horror and the trauma ....well lets just say the therapy is helping some but not that freakin much~~!!!!!

I thought I had killed a man. I lost control of my car in the wet and this guy came hooning around the corner on a motorbike and ploughed into the car. He ended up on the pavement and wasn't moving. It seemed like an eternity and a million thoughts ran through my head before he started moaning. Throughout that night I was convinced he would die in hospital and I was alone all night wondering if I could live with myself if he died.

low tide sitting inside a little too far with an exposed reef surfing 6-8 foot waves when from out of nowhere in comes a 12 foot wave there was no way i could get outside of. i almost pooped myself

In the jungle with thousands of miles awaay from home with guerillas shooting at us a butt load of medical supplies we were carrying, a gurad and guide that had ditched us, two wounded doctors..... but hey I'm here

I was married and in love with (but not seeing) someone else. I had to cut my husband loose to get with the right guy. It hurt.

This is sad, but it answers the question honestly...
I had to break the news to my husband that our son-in-law had been killed in a plane crash (7 yrs ago)
