Sorry, but he is breaking the law. He is with an underage child in the eyes of the law. He should be in jail. When you are older, you will realize this. When you have daughters of your own, you will want to protect them from preditors like him. He is using you and should be in jail, and he knows this too no matter what he tells you.
Stay away from him.

Sweetheart if you had sex with this boy and your parents know then there is nothing you can do to stop him from going to jail if that's what your parents want to do! He is 18 and should have known better, I am sure at 18 he knows the law. All you can do is move on and think before you date someone else. Whatever your parents decide to do, they are doing to protect you; it may hurt but in time you will come to realize that it was for the best! There are reasons why there are laws like this. Good luck!

your parents are protecting you. YOu are a minor* you are only 14 even tho you feel you're 'grown up"...dating an 18yr old is very serious...he could end up going to jail. You need to sit down with your parents, tell them the truth and stop lying to them..you will have a long time before you'll be allowed out as keeping something like this from them will take time for them to trust you again. Hopefully you both havnt had 'sex' or he is definately going to jail and you can't do a thing about it. Mind you..he's an adult..he knows better* 18yrs old?what is he wanting with a 14 yr old?? You need to stay away from him

Stop going out with him. Stop seeing him. Probably he had a bad influence on you and he was doing no good. Get a guy that is your same age. Try to tell your parents that you wil stop seeing him if they dont' sent him to jail and that things between yall are going to be cool. Get a 14 year old guy and forget about the 18 year old and tell him not to look or call you again.

Congratulations! You are now a statistic! I agree with the majority of responses here today presuming what your telling us is actual truth and not just a juvenile way to get your kicks. It's because of silly little girls like you that make smart little girls look so bad. In such a big hurry to be so grown up. Too bad in relationships like yours it's only ever about sex. Your too easy. Your boyfriend can't hang with girls his own age because he has the emotional make up of a 14 year old. I'm not suprised at all by this. It doesn't make it any less wrong. Hopefully, again, presuming what you say is true, your mom and dad will step in and then send you away to some place where you can work on your self esteem issues. Good luck to you.

Since you're a minor, I don't think there is anything you can do since it's your parents who are pressing charges against someone in regards to their daughter. What in the world could a 18 year old want with a 14 year old?

You might not want to hear this but who cares YOU asked the question....for starters: you're only 14, do you need a boyfriend now? If so *DATE A BOY YOUR OWN AGE* {A boy who is UNDERAGE like you are!! Someone who you can relate to you. Not a grown man.}
I know you heard about all these sexual predators harming young innocent children. What's wrong with him that he can't date someone his age? I know he has a motive with you. Just because you like him doesn't mean you can trust him!
Don't think you're grown just because you're dating an 18 year old. ***TRUST ME! (I'm only looking out for you.)***

Hey, be carefull, girl at your age you should be thinking about school you are too young, anyway that's not going to solve any problem, you just got to talk to your parent there the only one that are really there for you, look for the right time and promise them you won't go out with him again. Good luck!
P.S: you really should talk to the parent you're close to, and understands you better.

if your parents have pressed charges and they are intent on seeing it all the way through regardless what you are saying or telling them, then maybe you will be able to go to court and plead on his behalf and yours?you may need to call a lawyer yourself and ask him/her. If you have had sex with him and they have proof, he is probably at the mercy of the charges and the court. You could go to to your parents as a young adult as calmly and as grown up and mature as you can act, if they will listen to you at this point, and ask "what will i have to do to have you drop these charges against him?", and simply do whatever they say...
No matter what, I'd look in the yellow pages and call a lawyer and tell them the situation and ask their opinion. You have nothing to lose or be afraid of. The first call is usually free.
good luck!

An 18-year-old guy who would date a 14-year-old girl is a nasty creep. Get rid of him for your own good. I'd call the cops myself if I knew where to send them.
