My families life was flipped upside down, because of Democrats, we lost everything.
Yes we are a white family, one time we were denied assistance because of our color. The worker told us that we should be ashamed for asking for help, that we have more rights than some people and she glanced over to a black lady who we were talking to and was in the same situation we were in. (the worker was a black woman.) The woman we were talking to was as SHOCKED as we were, she walked out also.)
The Democrat system chose to help the one who tried to kill my family of 4, because we would have cost them money and she would have brought them in money, by dividing up her Doctor diagnoses. To this very day we move from state to state to KEEP our family safe.
YES I have a VERY LOW opinion of the Democrats ways.
In ALL the states we had to move to, it IS the Democrat states that demand to raise taxes, cut the child credits, close schools, withhold Veterans donations (privet),, close or lay-off police and firefighters,etc.... They are over paid and complain about our budget problems??????????????????
And my biggest anger towards them is the fact that our Service men and women get denied financial help,because the Democrats want to punish President Bush!!!!!!!!

and we could go back and forth naming names all night, but does that really prove anything? Thurmond, Helms, George Allen, trent lott, rush limbaugh... it only proves there are at least a handfull of possible racists in both parties...
the simple fact is... many of the people you mention are from/live in the south... the south is often thought to be racist... fair or not... and the Republicans rule the south... I think that's the big issue....
plus, add on to that, the fact that some old traditions hold up the ideas of segregation, and the fact that conservatives support old traditions... the link is somewhat inherent... even though current party leaders clearly condemn it...
