i own a shop and right now the blue book price isn't right on none of these cars, the value of some of the older corvettes is down some right now because of the gas thing, but if you got the blue book price it wouldn't help you much because ,when its being used most of the time the old cars will bring a lot more than the book price of them is,so i wouldn't try and use that as a guide, right now a 68 corvette in excellent condition is only worth about 12 thousand tops in the book ,and that's in perfect condition also, good luck hope this helps.

SON , LET ME TELL YA WHAT!!!!! What you got is a Stingray ,chrome bumpers front and rear! Convertible or Hardtop(convertible is worth more ,especially with both tops) Small block or big block? 4 spd or auto(auto is worth more ) options, windows, locks, air ,pwr str,pwr brks, worth more. Right now people are scooping up the big blocks and gas mi, means nothing. In fact, the bigger the engine and lousier the gas mi the more they are worth! Why? Cause people are paying BIG BUCKS for BIG BLOCKS!!! Ever watch the Barrett Jackson Auction (unbelievable what the "vettes are bringing) What shape is it in? Is the paint "cobwebbed with hairline cracks" from too many coats of paint? If ya feel along the fender wells do ya feel any rough fiberglass or do ya just feel the bonding strips holding together the panels? If you are around Cincinnati within 200 mi let me know as i might be interested in this car or have a friend who is. Contact me at eldoradodave@yahoo.com

No book will be accurate for a collectable car. The same exact car can very 50% in price with condition and history. If you really want an accurate price talk to someone that follows collectable car sales for a living.

I don't really think the BBV on your vette is gonna help you... It's a "68 " model... I mean if you plan on selling this vehicle the BBV on that ride is meaningless. Especially to a Corvette Enthusiast.. If they want it bad enough, they will pay 3 times what it is booked for... If not more depending on the condition of the vehicle.

really no price on older cars, it's whatever someone will pay for it and the condition of the car means a lot, is it modified? is it origional? is it numbers matching?, too many variables to get a definite price from a book, all you can do is get a general price and go from there, 68's are going from anywhere between $9,000 to $30,000 and even more in some cases.

The Kelly Blue Book is only good for the life of a car according to salesman(how much money can I get for it), its all about high blue book, or low blue book, and they are only good for about five to seven yrs. What you want to purchase is a classic, wayyy out of print for the blue book. I think in this case is, what is it worth to you, and how much money ya got, and how much desire do you need to have to posses this car. I'afriad you are your own blue book. I hope you don't get the blues! Good Luck and Good Hunting!
