What different types of necks are available on LP customs made in 2004?
Can I tell what neck mine has from the serial number?

If not, how can I tell?

It's been a while since I've played a Les Paul, but if I remember right, I think the Customs have the '50s profile, which is fatter than the 60's. I could be wrong though, so you might want to check on the Gibson site.

whats up, as a results of fact the others have already stated, this won't artwork. The neck would slot interior the neck pocket of the physique, however the hybrid guitar will in no way have intonation. Intonation potential the guitar performs in song each and every of how down the neck. The Strat makes use of a 25 a million/2 inch scale. The Les Paul makes use of a 24 3/4 inch scale. with a view to apply a Les Paul neck on a classic Strat physique, you may ought to circulate the bridge and the pickups. you may ought to circulate the bridge so tthat it truly is placed for a 24 3/4 inch scale. then you definately ought to relocate the pickups to be interior the right area for that scale length. despite the fact that, Fender did make some 24 3/4 inch scale Strats. i think of the only ones have been made in Japan. from time to time you spot a 24 3/4 scale neck or physique available on ebay. those are actually not effortless and don't come alongside very in many situations. you need to in all probability get a custom made Strat sort physique made for a 24 3/4 inch scale, yet which would be expensive. Unless it's a truly custom build, you can typically just look on the statistics on the Gibson website. Your standard Gibson Les Paul has either a '50's Rounded or a '60's slim taper. If you know what kind of Les Paul you have (which is on the headstock) you should be able to look it up. Otherwise it's fairly descriptive--is the neck wide (a fat) or slim or tapered?

Good luck.
