was like 13 and I was just in my panties but did not remove them. What should I expect??? Will I have to have a gyno exam and breast exam?? My chest is of a descent size and my doctor is a male in his late 20's will this be embarrasing?? or turn me on?? What should I expect? If I wear panties will this be better than wearing a thong? Or will he let me keep the thong on longer??? In the past he has always taken my temperature rectally and gien me shots in the butt, will he do this still even at my age???? Im reallyyyyy scaredddddddd!!!!

If you are nude at all a femal nurse must be in the room at your request...

Good luck oh and for a dr it is just another days work no big deal not embarresing for him if you can maybe get a new female dr. DONT LET HIM TAKE A RECTALL TEMPERATURE THAT IS A PREFRENCE HE MAKES. Remember if he acts strange or unreasonally makes you take off clothes or does not allow a nurse in with you LEAVE AND REPORT HIM!!!

You are alittle young to be going to the drs alone maybe a parent or friend should accompiny you to the room.

Did you have a reason to be in your underwear last time? For a usual healthy person going for a check up unless you get a "gyno check up" or "breast cheak up" you should stay clothed. ask about other options than a shot in the butt, if nessisary.

If you could switch to a female or older dr.

you will probobly hate me for saying this but,
If the dr is professional, they see it everyday and for them, again it is NO Big Deal!

Try to just relax and maybe even tell him your nervous...

good luck

First, have your mother, or if she cannot be there, another woman you trust, with you IN THE ROOM. Do not go in if someone is not with you.
Second, call the doctor's office and ask the nurse to explain to you ALL of the answers to your questions. Do not keep the appointment until you have all those answers.
You are of an age to have a gynecological exam, if needed. Many women do not have them until later, if healthy. The assistant who takes you and your mother into the doctor's exam room will tell you if you need to remove all your clothes or not. Panties or thongs do not matter. They will either remain on, or need to be off.
If you are concerned about seeing a younger or male doctor, make an appointment with a female or older male doctor.

If you are not having sex, than you do not need to have a exam in your vaginal area. Still continue to see your pediacitian and that doctor is the one to tell you when to visit the gyno. I'm like this, to be a virgin nothing goes in a that's that until you have sex.
