I think you mean, should Israel be recognized as a nation. Its neighbors don't and many Europeans don't. The US does as for now. There are some that think otherwise.
Why would lefty American Jews vote on the side of people will not recognize Israel as a nation?

You seem to be a Muslim gentleman. Although other countries have recognised Israel, most of the Muslim countries have not recognised it. It is necessary that they recognised and started doing business with them. That will help in promoting peace in the region.

Depends from where you look at the issue.
Most countries recognise Israel as a sovereign state.
Except the ones that matter most: it's neighbours, and that is where the sh*t hits the fan.
The US And Europe can 'recognise' all they like, but until Syria, Iran, Iraq, et al, do the same, Israel will have terrorists entering its territory to wreak havoc.
And until Israel finds some way to gain acceptance in the region, I believe it not 'recognised' as such.

They... are, aren't they? But (and I'm being sarcastic here) how dare you even suggest such a thing?! Think about the Palestinians whose feelings you're hurting! You evil, conservative, jingoistic, lying, elitist, hate-monger!
