actually hot topic is very reasonable price-wise, especially when they have their sales & specials (which they do every week, as i recently worked there!), not to mention they always have clearance stuff...2 weeks ago i bought a band t-shirt there for 75 cents!!! but anyway...if u keep a check on ebay, u can actually get band/slogan shirts & stuff like that for very cheap...recently i caught an auction for a lot of 5 mini-skirts for $7.99!!! they really sell a lot of "emo" clothing, jewelry, etc. on ebay...also check http://www.rockabilia.com for band shirts...plus, keep an eye out at your local thrift stores & yard sales for cool stuff, u never know what u might catch!!! it might be someone else`s castoff, but it might just be the thing you`re looking for!!! good luck!!!

I love the emo style and will try to help you. Go for funky patterns and faded out things. Jewelry is in right now so go with some bright colors mixed with dark colors. Dark shirts always work. Skinny jeans area must. Emos usually like Chucks, Vans, and other 'skater' shoes. You want to be as original as possible so just go to thrift stores and try to get what no one else has. That is the whole emo philosophy, to be different and original.

Hello and welcome to my guide on cheap emo/scene fashion ideas. This guide is ONLY ABOUT THE CLOTHING! Also, bear in mind most of this guide is for UK as that is where I come from. From now on, instead of writing 'emo/scene' ill be abbreviating it to E*S. Now, on with the guide!
T-Shirts
HMV / Virgin - Band shirts. Very rarely have E*S bands on, but if your lucky, you may find some.
Hot Topic - Any type of shirt! A bit expensive, but good if you got a payrise or pocket money etc.
Sainsbury's / TU - Yes, Sainsbury's! Buy the cheap black or navy plain t-shirts and customise them with bleach (Instructions. Credits to whoever made it.) or paint (Ofcourse, it should withstand washes!). E*S them up!
Primark - See above.
Jeans
Matalan - Drainpipes for as cheap as £8! Go buy 100 pairs!
Levi Strauss - No comment.
TK Maxx - Pretty much every type of jean is there.
Jackets
Topman - Military jacket (not sure if still sold there.).
JJB Sports - Black track jackets.
Hargreaves Sports - See above.
Shoes
Next - Fake Converse. Permanant marker + fakes = sweet, unique shoes!
Primark (Dunnes) - See above.
Vans (Or clearance) - The place to get checkerboard slipons.

whoever said Abercrombie, and American Eagle for an Emo style must be retarded or something. I suggest you try Spencers, and maybe well, I dont know but I suggest that you just go to the mall, and any stores that look good to you jsut go in and try em out

I'm sorry, but questions like this annoy me. If you are looking for only clothes considered "emo", then you are trying to fit into a mold. I say just buy w/e you want when you see it. Don't just buy it only because you think it will make you seem emo. Buy it because you like it. People! Let's break the freaken molds!

once you're emo, then you do not or in no way wore preppy clothing formerly. after which you will additionally hate existence and all. additionally, you will not have any pals because you hate human beings while you're emo.
