No, it can include negatives as well. For example, log (base 10) of 1/10 is -1. The DOMAIN, however is all positive real numbers as you can't take the log of 0 or a negative.

no...x cannot be zero no matter what log base you take. think of it like exponents....

F(x)= log(base b)x = c

is the same as asking

b^c=x

thus, no matter what b and c are, nothing to a power can equal zero.
