1.In 1130, Pope Honorius II dies, beginning a schism when Innocent II is elected to succeed, but Roger II of Sicily supports antipope Anacletus II. Innocent flees to France, and Anacletus crowns Roger King.
2.In 1210, The Japanese begin to eat tofu (soybean curd), a food that the Chinese have been eating for two millennia.
3.Ghengis Khan invades China in 1211.
4.Marco Polo-along with his father, Niccolo, and uncle Matteo- begin a journey to India and the Far East in 1271.
5.In an attempt to prevent women or men descended from the female line from succeeding to the French throne, France adopts the Salic Law in 1317.

In Europe:
1.Civil war begins in England when Matilda lands at Arundel with an army to support her claim to the throne against her cousin, Stephen, in 1139.
2.In 1216, King John I of England dies of dysentery. His young son, who will reign as Henry III, succeeds him. William Marshal serves as regent.
3.In 1250, Crusaders introduce spices such as cinnamon, cloves, coriander, cumin, cubebs, ginger, mace, and nutmeg to Europe. Often they are valued more for their medicinal value than for their flavor.
4.Edward I, King of England, dies in 1307. His only surviving son ascends the throne as Edward II, beginning a reign that is tarnished by rumors of gay love affairs.
5.From 1315-1318, famine plagues many areas of Europe.

Ogedei Khan establish Mongolian dynasty in China.

Marco Polo and his family reach China

Fifth through eighth crusades of western European kingdoms against Islam.

First European universities founded.

Most of Asia and Eastern Europe is conquered and incorporated into the Mongol Empire.

The Medieval Warm Period ends.

The transition from the Medieval Warm Period to the Little Ice Age

The Magna Carta, Emergence of Feudalism, Rise of Cathoic Church as dominating Power over Europe, a few of the crusades, the entire Catholic church was moved from Rome to Avignon (France)

Let's see.

In Europe:
Henry II of England did his own homework.
Thomas of Aquinas did his own homework, too.
The Benedictines did their own homework.
Louis III of France did his own homework
Thomas a Becket did his own homework as well.

The rest of the world:
Ghengis Kahn had someone else do his homework, but failed because they lied to him.
Saladin did his own homework.
The Aztecs did homework themselves.
Several African tribes did their own homework, while the others wished they had.
Hindu aescetics did their own homework while fasting.
