The court record is permanent, but hard to find. The eviction will show up on your credit report for 7 years from when it was reported.

Off what record? I didn't know that evictions went on any records. If they go on criminal records, it is likely permanent unless you have a deal with the prosecutor. I am not so sure that an eviction counts as a crime, though. If it does, it doesn't go away. If you mean credit record, you are looking at 7 years before it goes off. If you did not make your payments, it could go on the credit report, but only if your landlord or mortgage company bothers to report it.

Court records don't disappear; they just go to microfiche. The best way to handle this is state you were evicted on future application, explain away the eviction, and state that you no longer have that issue and will be a good tenant.

An eviction on your record will stay and not go away. It is a part of your record. Sorry.
