What are some good stores that would have lots of fabric/sewing things?

Always check out the phone book for fabric stores-- you may find a gem.

Jo-Ann fabrics is the big one, but every city has its fabric boutiques. They're not as cheap as Jo-Ann's, but the fabrics are nicer.
You may also have mill end stores or textile outlets in your town.

take it to a fix save. sooner or later, carry onto the top & decrease threads for the 1st 3 or 4 stitches. in case you do no longer, then the threads tangle below the fabric & in case you shop sewing will jam the bobbin.
