Where do you think he heard those terms ? He was trying to "relate"..obviously ..because that's all you hear , unfortunately wherever you go these days . It doesn't make it right . It doesn't mean he should be crucified ..after it has been a way of life for the past decade in "entertainment" worlds . Hillary Clinton just wanted to get rid of one of her thorns - that's what this is mainly about . The election..and the fact that CBS News plagiarized Jeff Zaslow for katie Couric . That's what the real issues are ..not Imus imitating a rapper ;.

I agree he was out of line, most of the posts were fair in their remarks, but for the ones that think that all black people listen to and agree with rap is like saying all whites are rednecks and poor white trailer trash, don't sound nice no, well...I don't want to be referred to as a ho by anyone, black, white asian etc. We have to stop abusing one another with this name calling. He crossed the line with his comments and that's the price you must pay. But... he will be back on t.v. and radio beause most people don't feel that he did anything wrong by what he said simply because the rap artist are using it in their songs or it's a ghetto slang, but that don't mean it's right, I never allow my children to buy or listen to rap, just because someone sings about something or choose to bite off animal heads in their act doesn't mean everyone is for it..As far as The two good Reverends they don't speak for me and maybe if we stop discussing them they will go away..That's the way of life in the good old usa.

It was a horrible thing to say but lets face it, he has said worse about Jewish people and Gay people. The only reason he got fired was because sponsors pulled out and subsequently the stations were losing a lot of money because of him. If the sponsors hadn't taken their money away he would have just been suspended for two weeks like originally planned. I believe in freedom of speech so I could care less what he says about anyone, I have the right to change the channel if I choose to.

Oh really? Do you listen to rap music? If so, you obviously pick and choose what forms of sexism bother you. Isn't it ironic that black culture (ie rap music and hip hop, plus ghetto slang used by blacks) gave Imus the language he used when he insulted the Rutgers team?

As for Imus, it's over. He apologized and the team accepted his apology. Let's move on.

What imus said was not right but you people need to pop in a rap cd and listen to what they say in that about women and it's blacks saying the stuff, they are saying ***** this and ho that and etc so how can they get mad at a white man saying it when people of their own race is saying much worse, people of either color need to get over themselves and get along and stop running their mouth.

it was bad what he said- but they do not have to get Rev. Jesse Jackson involed as well as that other Rev... I forgot his name. They dont need to get involved.
I personally think that they are blowing it all out of porportion. But they did the right thing as far as firing him.

He can never say sorry for what he did. We all know if he said it he's been thinking that and much worse for many years.

Not forgiveable. If he feels this way about young black female college students, he has no place in public life.
