His comments weren't any worse than the nasty comments Al Sharpton has spoken about Jews and whites on this radio program. Both Sharpton and Jackson are notorious hypocrites.
I think Imus (and Sharpton, for that matter) is an idiot, but shouldn't have been fired.

NO WAY! Imus went too far. He is a sexist and racist pig. When are radio personalities going to realize that they can't just blurt out whatever pops into their moronic heads and then expect not to be held accountable for it????
BTW to the user who compared Imus to Sharpton and Jackson...are you crazy???? I have never, ever say anything that demeans women and demeans a race the way Imus did!

If you mean Don Imus went way too far, then I, for one, agree.
The guy's on a national broadcast, for heaven's sake, and says "nappy hos". What was he thinking!?! What an insensitive racist!

I agree, he should've been fired a long time ago. I think CBS just wanted to make an example out of somebody and they chose him. Plenty of other not as famous shockjocks should get canned as well but don't. the girls accepted his apology so EVERYONE else should be able to move on as well. he looked very solemn and subdued today as cameras followed him into his apartment. I think this has humbled him and he's learned his lesson.
