If you read Zell Miller's book "A Deficit of Decency," you'll find that many Democrats throughout history have been very much in favor of war. It's only recently that they've changed so drastically, and in my opinion it's because their pure hatred of George Bush has led them to make very stupid decisions.

With regard to Hillary Clinton, I'm guessing she voted for those proposals because it was the popular thing to do at the time. Hillary has always been the same: support any measure or drag it through the mud, and change your opinion as it suits the political wind -- anything to gain more personal support, and thus more power. Support of one particular issue does not automatically make one a Republican or Democrat (isn't it sad how we've come to assume that the war in Iraq is the ultimate, indeed the only, litmus test?); one must examine all aspects of the person to know where his loyalties truly lie. In Hillary's case, it's to herself, completely and shamelessly.

If Democrats were against the war they would be pushing to end it. They are not pushing to end it, but to try walk away from it and cause a bigger mess. The only way to end it is with mighty military strength. The Democrats are for the war. The invasion was never illegal, no matter how mcuh you wish it was, and Hillary is hardly a Republican.

Not all Democrats are for ending the war. She's hawkish, yes. I think that is good. She originally wanted to send in a lot more troops and probably feel we are there we should help fix it, but she doesn't like this administration policies on it. I can't blame her. I don't think she can elected because of Bill. Which is too bad because she may actually do a good job.

Way to go "just the", everyone should read the essay by Dr Chong and maybe then they could understand what is at stake. We have to make the people in Washington start working to-gather and stop using the war as a political foot ball and when it is over they can go back to fighting with each other.

Lots of people were duped by the big lies that led up to the war. She, like so many others, have seen the truth and are now able to admit the error they made and move on. In the minds, feeble as they may be, of some once one is diagnosed by them as being a certain way that is it for life and no one will ever change. What an ignorant bunch of jingoists we have among us.

Lots of Democrats were in favor of the LEGAL invasion of Iraq. Why they've turned chicken, I don't know. lack of real principles, I guess.

By the way, if you're gonna depose a vicious dictator after twelve years of failed diplomacy, how do you do it without an OCCUPATION? Or don't you care about the Iraqi people?

By the way, nothing wrong with the Patriot Act. Paranoia will destroy ya.
