I am pretty sure that humans had language before they even got to the middle east. The Assyrians spoke Akkadian which is a Semitic language. The earliest known writing was Sumerian or Egyptian, depending on who you ask, but neither is a Semitic language. I think you should checkout your source.

Assyrians played an important role in the development and spread of civilization in the ancient world but they did not do it all by themselves.

The history of Assyria between ca. 2000 and 612 BC is divided into three periods:

The early period: the city state of Assur which was captured around 1800 BC by the Amorite Shamshi-Adad I;
The middle period (14th to 11th century) with kings like Assur-Uballit I, Adadnirari I, Shalmaneser I and Tukulti-Ninurta I. After Tiglatpileser I the kingdom goes down because of internal weakening and the pressure from the Arameans;
The New Kingdom (900-612 BC) with kings like Adadnirari II, Assurnasirpal II, Tiglatpileser III, Sargon II, Sanherib, Esarhaddon and Assurbanipal. There are similarities betwee the Assyrian art of this period and art from the Egyptian New Kingdom (e.g. reliefs of hunting scenes).

No, the first language was not Assyrian. Perhaps you mean the first written language, but I'd debate that as well. And no, the did not invent the clock.

first, I'm assyrian from syria. the first civilisation was sumarian about 3000 BC. which was existed in Mesopotamia (a greek name means between the tow rivers refers to tiglat and euphrates) which is called now Iraq. after Sumarian came the Akkdia about 2500BC, it was the people but anothter family-ruler in another capital. after Akkadia came the first Babylonian empire, it had a capital is called Babylon or exactly as we (assyrians) call it Babyl which means (The Gate of God) it was about 2300 BC and then came The Assyria Empire about 2000 BC it ruled from Persia (now is called Iran) to Nile river in Egypt. they invented the wheel. Assyria is refferd from it's capital Assur or exactly in our language (Ashur) and my country Syria is called like this from the Greeks. Assyria is famous by it's queen Samiramis (greek name) in our language (shamiram). then came the second Babylonia or it was called Chaldea or Kaldea about 627 BC. it has a very famous ruler is called Hammu-rabi ( rabi means teacher as Jesus was called in Bible). he orders to put a law for the country which is considered as the first law in history. he said : "Eye for eye, tooth for tooth philosophy" which is now existed in the Quran ( the Holy book of Islam) they say that God said it in Quran not Hammurabi.
note: many of assyrians live in Chicago.

I'm Assyrian, and you are correct in your information.

Just to give you an idea, we just celebrated our 6,757th New Year in April.

It seems like everything that you "know" is wrong. Nothing that you claim here is correct. Where did you get this misinformation?
