I would see no reason why, but make sure you have a good lawyer are you won't get what you want. We're fighting the system now and I got a sorry lawyer/ The lawyer is what makes the big difference. Fathers should have just as many rights as the Mother does, but you have some lawyers and judges who believe they don't. Good Luck In Missouri most Fathers are required to take parenting classes. I live in Missouri

Sadly, not likely. I am sorry but dads tend to get shafted in the custody and the paying of the child support. Before anyone jumps on me for this, I know this from experience. My Ex-husband and I got divorced and we have 2 kids. The judge didn't want to grant joint legal and physical custody of the kids to him even though he is as fit as I am to raise the kids and also made him pay child support even though I made more money than him. Now I make sure that he has the kids every other week (we live 4 miles apart from eachother) and I sign away child support.

It is possible but look up missouri law. But as long as you are a stable and loving father you should have no problem getting joint physical custody of your baby

It should be. Why would/should a dad get anything less than a mother? Find your local fathers rights group (via Internet), and get some feedback and support from other fathers who have been through it. They can also refer you to a lawyer. As long as you have been consistent in the childs life, paid support (if ordered), and you are a fit parent (not a drug addict, etc)- you deserve 50/50. Kids need both parents. Whatever you do, If you get less than 50/50 -fight - and fight until it's fair.
