If they are a good person, this shouldn't be too hard. After all, their reaction wouldn't be as callous and rude as an evil person. So, just let them know, but nicely.

Maybe it wouldn't be necessary. I truly good person would probably know he or she did wrong without being told.

tell them that they're a good person but what they did was wrong and tell them how you feel about it.
or you can kick them in the face.
