Well, you can never be 100% certain of much of anything to do with fish or crawfish, but it's as close to a sure bet as you can get. Eventually the crawfish will settle in and the fish will get used to him being around and eventually, one night one of the fish will get careless and the crawfish will nail him resting. It's what crawfish do so you can fairly well count on it eventually.

Crawfish, crawdads, crayfish.... whatever you call them, they are carnivorous scavengers who will eat what is available and what they can catch. I used to watch them trying to catch the goldfish at the LFStore where I worked. They would accidentally come in with the feeder goldfish from the ponds in Florida where the fish are raised.

They typically hunt at night when the fish are at rest near the bottom so they can grab one with their claws. Smaller fish are more at risk than the larger ones who might be able to escape the grip of the claws.

Also, be warned, they are very good escape artists. You should have a good tight fitting top on your tank. I had a really colorful reddish one climb up the air line to the box filter and escape. Never did find him, I think he ended up going down the open drain in the basement floor by the laundry tubs. There was no smell, so I don't think he stayed in the basement.

If u keep the craw fish fed and happy in their space the fish should be fine, i recommend feeding your craw fish carrots not only do they love them but they like to crab ahold of them and eat it. BUT BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL the water can be polluted if u put too much food in it.

they might and they might not, just watch and see. be sure to feed them the right food so they won't go after your other fish as food,
