There are several animals that begin with the letter "V".
Vulture a large black and white bird with a featherless head begins with v. Viper a breed of snake begins with the word "V". I think there is a Valencia Frog as well. I do not know much about Valencia Frogs though.
If you are still curious, I suggest you read a "V" encyclopedia.

Beware of the Velociraptor and its friend the vulture about to eat the vole. Not to mention vicuna and vixen, vervet monkey and vampire bat and viper.

And you can cheat, vache is cow in French.
