Bringing her a little something for herself, lotions, bath gel, something so she can pamper herself a bit would be nice.
A nice tray of food or something she can reheat when she gets home or for dinner that night is always nice with a new baby.
Is it her first child. If not a little something for the new big brother or sister is always nice to offset jealousy.
And kinda just try to think of a little something she still needed, maybe diapers, formula, a cute little outfit.
Anything at all that you bring will be well appreciated I'm sure. And anything that will make her day a little easier, or more pleasant will be appreciated especially with the busy days ahead.
Good Luck.

Things that new parents can use a lot are helpful. Maybe a bathtime kit? With a rag and a towel and shampoo and stuff?
Or some diapers? Or maybe a mobile or a little mirror for the crib?
I'd suggest something benificial to baby AND parents..Colorful, but not noisy. ^_^

I would give her something just for her. Like maybe a gift
certificate to salon or massage. It should be just for her. The dad can watch the baby. You really need me time after you have a baby.

give her a shirt that says new mom and dad a cap that says new dad. and get a baby shirt and have it say "im the baby".
or you can get her a baby blanket, or gift card to get new clothes for her. or a ring with the babys and her hubbys birthstone on it. or get her a box of chocolate, or some flowers, or a cute pair of shoes for the baby. goodl uck, there are cute gifts you can find at the gift shop in the hospital.

I gave my friend a huge tray of lasagna. Sounds weird, but she loved it. She was busy with the new baby, and it solved her "dinner? I need dinner?" issues. Her husband loved it.
So, personally, that's my 'baby gift' to all my friends. A giant tray of homemade lasagna.
