Where did that go to, what about all of this security in the sky and on the land and all over the place, is that to make you more secure or what is that for in your oppinion? Can you tell me how you feel about that? They have drones that can see in the night now and they have air controls that can shout messages to the ground, they have secure drivers liscensing, they have the radios and televisions to send out instant messages, they have trackers, they have security cameras, they have data bases, they have lots of things, they can even intercept your mail now. How might that affect you? They have changed the laws as to what can be used as evidence in a court of law or not. Ever think about any of this stuff? Does it make our country more secure or less?

It's making us a lot safer! I don't think about it because I know everything that is being done is for the good of the country.

You could step off a curb and get hit by a bus. Ever think about that? You could choke to death on a meatball. Ever think about that? Life is full of dangers, small and large. Some people live to over a hundred and some people never make it to 40.
I've survived all kinds of crap and I'm now past 45. There were many times I never thought I'd make it this far.
I was not born with a guarantee that I would last for 100 years. The moment I was born, I had a death sentence over me... meaning someday I would die.
Life is for living, not for looking for and worrying about how death is going to come. It will come when it comes. I'm busy living. If "they" are watching me, let them watch. If "they" are listening to me, let them listen. If "they" are plotting my destruction, let them plot.
Everything I survive is another chapter in the bestseller I'm working on... kind of... well, I'm more or less just planning it, right now...

Freedom is a perverse way of encouraging people to believe that they can do something. In reality it is a a red herring that many organistation use so as to manipulate people into agreeing with the agenda that they are pushing.
To be able to have true freedom you need to be able to earn it. The only way for true freedom to be earned is to take responsibility for your actions.
The drones that you are talking about have been operation well before I was born (late 70's). At the end of the day it is all about percieved risk which in turn is extremely subjective. There are a number of things that go on that the government don't let you know about because if it became public knowledge there would be mass-histeria and city wide rioting; we would be returning to the witch hunts of old where there was no legal process and you only need a person to point a finger andyou were gone.
At the end of the day freedom must be maintained through rules - absolute freedom provides no safety to members of a society. There would be nothing from stopping people from raping and murdering others. I guess at the end of the day freedom as we know it is about balance to stop our society from sliding into uncontrolled anarchy.
Having lived in a free/lawless society, witnessing several of my friends killed and maimed I am happy to have some rules applied to myself and to others in order to reduce the number of events that can harm me from occuring.

Maybe more secure from foreign terroists, but in the fight for democracy and freedom, we have lost more than ever!
What about the watchlists made from the calls that the government was listening to! Why is this not on the news?

Our country would be more secure if we just close the borders.
Stop fighting for the freedom of people who hate us.
Use our troops to defend our borders.
Become self sufficient and stop trading and supporting the economy of asia.
We have the ability to make ethanol fuel, why do we need the middle east.
When we achieve this, then i will feel safe.

If feel fine about all of it. Whatever it takes to keep someone from cutting my head off because I don't worship the moon god five times a day makes me feel secure. I'd feel even more secure with a little profiling at the airport. I don't want to be part of some kid's crazed plan to collect his 70 virgins, with the blessing of his parents, who want their $25,000 for helping him strap that vest on. And if all that security helps protect my freedom from fuzzy brained Americans who want to bring down our country, I'm all for it, thank you very much.

We started losing our freedoms beginning with The Patriot Act and it's only going to get worse from there. A leader should not designate fear to his constituents. Fear will destroy true freedom. "You have nothing to fear, but fear itself." is so true.
