arcsin (sin x+k)
what does the graph of this look like? matlab is spitting out a sawtooth, but I am guessing that depending on where it is phase will be different. Thanks.
k=an arbitrary constant

Matlab is giving you a good graph. To understand the graph better, try resticting the domain to [-pi, pi].
