I'm thanking God for many other things..
Those are two places I do not rely on for news ..Once upon a time I actually used to think AP was a credible news source . Now if I run into a questionable news item ..and discover it was from the Associated Press.. I go : "that figures"..and move on .

I thank God that I can get up every morning.

I know that God works in mysterious ways but for the life of me I have not been able to figure out why God has let the USA become ruled by an evil tyrant extremist. He rewards those that lie and fires those that won't cheat, lie and steal for him.

I've been saying a lot of the Serenity Prayer lately. It goes as follows:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

Did you read beyond the headlines?

"Outside the capital, however, civilian deaths are up as Sunni and Shiite extremists shift their operations to avoid the crackdown.

And the sweeps have taken a heavy toll on U.S. forces: Deaths among American soldiers climbed 21 percent in Baghdad compared with the previous two months.

Since the crackdown began Feb. 14, U.S. military officials have spoken of encouraging signs that security is improving in the capital but have cautioned against drawing any firm conclusions until at least the summer."

The purpose of God's law is to show us that we need grace. If we could do everything in God's law then we wouldn't need Jesus as our savior. What is meant by "not needing the laws of God" is that we can still have a friendship (or more precisely a Servant/King relationship) with God even though we have broken his laws.

Yes, by all means thank your god that there have been ONLY fifteen hundred deaths inside Baghdad in the past two months. Psst, don't look outside the city though.

When It isn't successful , so why shouldn't they report, I'm thinking God that Bush is leaving in 2008. Bush wants them report a little small accomplished when behind them troops are being slaughtered right behind them. I don't see one thing that this war has accomplished, not one thing, not one thing. But, murder in the first degree.

If you read over the article, the overall numbers are still a significant improvement.

I am thanking God that most of us were given enough wisdom to not ignore reality.

Not really, anyone who doesn't know this already either isn't paying attention or can't change the channel from Faux News to get truly informed.
