I am curious as to what you mean by this question. i tried to grasp an understanding from the answers but it just appeared as another bashing session between both sides of the coin. I was not aware people were using the American Flag to symbolize anything but America heritage. can you send me a link to your information or direct me into the right direction?

The american flag is a symbol of a political system. It is not a symbol of God's word, nor of God himself.
I'm not concerned about it because it's not true.
Here's why.
I have a wife and a son, loved ones, family and friends.
In my opinion, politics is based on lying and the love of money.
If people want a flag to symbolize any thing, it is their choice, or their problem, depending on whose rules you wish to go by.

I understand your question as if it is fine to present the American political actions as Christian.
So if this is the rephrased version of your concern, then I can assure you that many people (actually all the smart ones) are concerned with the same.
It is wrong to present a state policy as something religious. Even the Islamic Republic (of Iran) does not have right to claim that their policy is exactly what the Muslim religion requires. And more for the States: Christianity does not lead the US politics. The president, senators and other officials are doing it (and if they are inspired by Christianity, their own good, the nation's good, or whatever else good is another story).

Not only Americans knows the word of God............. so it is not apropriate to use their emblem or flag.... To symbolize the word of God should be all the flags of the world because in latin it says "Vox Populi Vox Dei" that the word of the people is the word of God!!!!!!!!!!

Yes. Too many believers mistakingly assume that patriotism is a Christian's duty and that the Unites States should be worshipped as a thing of God. Just like too many are content to devote Sunday worship services to celebrating Independence Day, Memorial Day and national holidays...Why? The word of God should be appreciated for its value apart from its relevance (or irrevelance) to our nation's past, present, or future actions and/or belief systems.

No more than I would refuse to use an american dollar that says IN GOD WE TRUST on it.
Actually I have never met anyone who would not cheerfully accept one.

Don't understand what you mean by this. The word is symbolized by Jesus Christ, God'd son. The word is in the Bible. How can the flag symbolize something holy?

Who the heck is doing that?

See, that's how holy wars start. When you mix religion and politics, nothing but chaos and pain can come out of that.
