Thats a good one. I think the ideal would be to have a few homes here and there, Ive been travelling the world for work for the last 10 years and seen some amazing places. Visby (or Wisby) in Sweeden is amazing, but winter must be hell.
Love Tortola and the BVI, love the USVI as well, I live in Brazil and Buzios is amazing (www.buziosonline.com) but New York is awsome too. I guess in the end, the best place is where you feel more confortable.
French Riviera/Monaco aint bad either.

Strangely enough, I am in the middle of thinking about this very thing these last few weeks.

I am torn between my hometown and just running away to another country. I like my hometown and have many friends and people that I know love and care about me, but...

If I were to move away, it would definitely be to Italy. Everything I have seen and read about it, says it is the place for me. The food, the people, the scenery, the language, the open markets and on and on. Another thing I like about it is that it is quite narrow, so even though you may live in the countryside, it would not be a really long trip to go to the sea from time to time.

Where I live right now, it would take 2 days to get to the sea!!!

So, the best scenario in my mind would be if I could own a home in both places and go back and forth whenever I felt a need for a bit of a change. That would be really nice.

Somewhere up in the rural Alaska or the Us Canadian boarder in the middle of nowhere near a lake or stream in a small cabin living off the land. Or maybe on a boat sailing around the Caribbean.

We've been discussing this. Costa Rica looks good. I'm fed up with the US. I'm retired (disability) & he hopes to be soon. The only problem is, our Spanish isn't very good. I just sent for a course & there are enough radio & TV shows here to give me some practice. I hear Canada is nice, too, but I moved to FL from PA because I don't want to be cold anymore.

I had the opportunity to go to Greece, and I enjoyed it. I would not mind living there for a year or two. Most people are bilingual and trilingual, they are very family oriented and they love to party and laugh.

Difficult to answer as there are so many places I have never been. Even though I have never been there, Israel is a good choice as it is the land of my people, and I think everyone would agree one should live where they belong, and want to live among their own people.

Hawaii. I love the people. I even love the tourists that go there. (Incidentally, since I don't live there, I am a tourist that goes there.) Such a BEAUTIFUL place. And as long as you respect the land and the people, they will respect you as well.

I think Italy would be nice, but I would want all the people replaced by Americans. I love visiting new places, I just always hate the people...

South Africa and New Zealand are the prettiest places.

Hawaii is a nightmare, with two many freeways, cars and people.
