I have several dress shirts without button-down collars and no place for collar stays. Over the course of the day, the collars start to turn up and it looks pretty tacky. I really don't want to have to starch my shirts if possible... but what do I do? Thanks for the help.

Wear one size bigger collar. Collar turning up shows it's too tight.

You could get a seamstress to sew a tiny snap fastener on the underside of each collar point to hold your collar points down.

Or you could get some cheap double-faced tape from the dollar store and just cut a small square and stick it on the underside of the collar point; then smooth it down in place.

Also, move the top button slightly over to make the neck opening larger, and there will be less strain on the collar.

Hope that helps!

not sure if there's a internet site to verify with. yet i will proportion my thought with you. Fold the sleeves to the elbow. Fold it so as that the wrist section isn't hid. stitch a button reminiscent of the colour of the shirt on the two area of the sleeves. Button it to the sleeves which you have folded up. positioned on a belt around your waist. This works best with a black, cotton mens shirt. you are able to pass with a thick white belt. replace the button into white or purple ones reckoning on the colour of the belt you opt for to positioned on.

All you have to do is spray starch them, you have to iron them anyway.
