For a computer that old, my bet is that you only have a PCI slot. Brand new PCI graphics card are rare. But depending on your location, you might easily find surplus PCI VGA cards. Try to get the 16Mb or 32Mb.

I have a 2Mb and a 16Mb PCI VGA card that I use just for troubleshooting motherboards. If you were just a neighbor, I would have lent you either one.

Unless you know what PCI, AGP or PCI Ex[press card slots look like, your best best is to have someone who knows such tell you..........

Either that or give us a make and model number of the computer.

OR, you can take it to any computer store\shop and they can tell you.....

Check the slots on the motherboard. You'll either need a PCI, AGP or PCI-E graphics card.
