The double standard lets the "justice brothers" pull the strings for Hillary Rodham Clinton ..I heard Imus was blowing a Hillary picture or likeness to kingdom-come..
The double standard also lets CBS News hide behind the IMUS FIRING , AS A COVER because they also had to fire another one( as in Dan Rather ) for making up the news..This one ( who they refuse to name ) plagiarized Jeff Zaslow's Wall Street Journal article for Katie Couric . What gems they have at C BS. I wouldn't be surprised if Imus goes to satellite.
CBS is really the joke here..along with the "slappy & slippy reverends". Those two are so far from being reverend , they ought to be in trouble for impersonating one .

Al Sharpton And Jesse Jackson have NEVER protested outside of any rap artists record company to date.EVER.
Yet they had time to protest at CBS and NBC just this week.
So to say they have" spoken out "against rap music is pathetic and hollow in comparison to what they have done in the past week and during the Duke rape case alone.
I for one hope everyone hounds Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson everyday all day about cleaning up the hateful language and sexist demeaning behavior in there own community.Instead of pointing the finger and protesting everyone else.
BET-Black Entertainment Television could we have WET-White Entertainment Television? No ,then you gotta go.
The double standard dies NOW
NO MORE HYPOCRISY
I hope Imus goes to satellite it may take awhile though.

It's hard to believe in this day and age that it took firing Don Imus to get the world to see what is the appropriate way to act on or off the air. I watched Imus' show and sent him emails about his mouth and arrogance, but there were parts of his show I enjoyed.
Don't think Jackson or Sharpton should be the leaders in helping to settle the storm. Every one of us no matter what color of the skin is responsible for our actions. So let's all get busy. There's still a place for Imus. Heck he could probably start up his own radio stations. He's probably rich enough.

Don Imus had better not transfer to satellite radio. I would prefer my subscription fee not go to him. Not because he's racist, but because his show is horrendous.
As for the double standards, Sharpton and Jackson seem to like the band wagon. What makes either man the public figure for the black race?

you need to do more research. Sharpton and Jackson have spoken out against the recording industry. but even if they didnt, does that still give a person the right to disrespect women like Imus did?

If I made similar comments about white people, I would be fired from my job. It is that simple. You cannot call people racist or sexist things and expect to get away with it. As far as Imus going to satellite radio, who cares? I never liked his show anyway. He is not entertaining and he is a bitter old man, to quote Tucker Carlson, a white guy. And I think I-man will make it just fine without a gig. He should have retired years ago.

i'm hoping he is going to satelite radio (XM!) His being fired develop into bulls*#%. there is lots of a double-properly-known in u . s . a . of america on the instant. Upon Imus' termination, Jesse Jackson stated "a victory for public decency. no person ought to apply the regular public airwaves to transmit racial or sexual degradation." ........O.ok.. So does that recommend that the Rev. Jesse Jackson is now going to circulate after Rap/Hip-Hop stations that frequently play songs with that content?.... Dont think of so.... Double properly-known.....

He probably will, I'm sure that XM and Sirius would both love to have him. I love my XM because it allows free speach. There is no reason that Imus should have lost his job over his comment. Maybe it wasn't right, but last time I checked it wasn't an FCC violation to offend someone. Our country is becoming an oversensitive bunch of candy asses.

I don't think so. This whole "business" has GOT to come as something of a "shock" to the guy... -& he's bound to be pretty upset about it. He's getting pretty far "up there" in years, & it wouldn't surprise me if he decided to call it "quits" & retire to his home, in New Mexico. ...-Just the latest victem of "Political Correctness..." The "moral" of his story IS; don't make a mistake in this World- people; the mob will hang you for it... :(
