I was in a acccident involving my truck and another the other guy hit me passing through an intersection and the lights were stuck the city has laws protecting them from being sued over the lights and our insurance companies wouldn't fix either vehicles now he is sueing me for pain and mental anguish sssh ha oh and almost 2 yrs later any suggestions??????

Put on your Sunday go to meetin' neck brace and counter sue.
You said the guy hit you, not you hit the guy, can you prove it by diagram or witnesses? Get a lawyer before the third year has expired.

If you had auto liability insurance at the time of the accident, your auto liability insurance company will have to either defend or settle the law suit. Notify your company ASAP.
If your company has to hire an attorney for you, the attorney will know if there are grounds to include the city in the law suit.
If you did not have liability insurance, I guess you are S. O. L.

Get your attorney. Unfortunately, 'pain and mental anguish' are bs charges, because they are so difficult to disprove.
I take it he's within statute of limitations?
