i went to the doctor yesterday. i have a yeast infection. me and my mom went to walgreens to get the medicine. it came with this platic tube and the cream. today, i told my teachers this and asked them "what if i need to use the restroom i'll wipe the medicine off" one of them said that it was okay. the medicine is inside you. and one my other teachers said that there is a plastic tube for you to use to pee. (first she asked me if i used tampons. i said no) and then i told her that my mom took it away. i dont know why intil i asked my mom today why and she said "because your a virgin" o_O

Still listen to your mom about not wearing tampons if she asks that you don't but I want to let you know that virgins do indeed wear tampons, quite regularly. I am a 35 year old virgin (yes, I'm still a virgin) and I wore tampons for a good while starting after age 18. Wearing a tampon does not change your status as a virgin.

The true sense of the word "virgin" is that of someone who has never had sex.

The medication is to be applied at bedtime and the tube is to insert the medication in to your vagina, not to pee in. And when you are moving around the medicine does not stay inside the vagina (I know this from personal experience) which is why it's done at bedtime.

Using this medication will not affect you being a virgin either. It may stretch the hymen or break it but the hymen (the thin layer of skin around the vaginal opening) can break for other reasons too such as a fall but that does not mean that she is not a virgin.

Any questions you have it's best to also discuss with your mom and dr.

But as I said pls respect your mom's wishes on the issue of tampons. I no longer use tampons due to medical issues unrelated to the tampon itself.

The medicine will not affect your ability to go to the bathroom during school because when you use the medication at bedtime it will already be gone from the system til the next dose.

As for going to the bathroom in the night some of the medication may come out in the toilet but that's ok. What's important is keeping the bulk of the medicine in the vagina to kill the yeast infection.
